Artsalive ~ Win Cash Prizes!
BRING SOME STUFF, MAKE SOME ART AND YOU MIGHT GET CASH.
Artsalive is a competition open to anyone who is a resident of Merced, Mariposa, or Stanislaus Counties. Participants create a work of art in downtown Merced between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Saturday, October 22, 2011. Jurors select top works in various categories and prizes are announced and awarded at 5:30 p.m.
A $15 Entry fee includes box lunch, bottled water and tee-shirt. Free Entry for Arts Council members. Entrants must be at least 18 years of age by October 22, 2011.
Cash Prize Categories may include (jurors can make them up or change them at their discretion):
• Best of Show
• Original/Unique Use of Media (any media including installation, performance)
• Best 2D Work
• Best 3D Work
• People's Choice
• Best Poetry or Prose
• Best Digital Work or Best Film - (must be shot and edited during event).
Additional Prizes May Be Awarded Including Tickets to Arts Events, Art Supplies, Art Class Tuition, Gift Certificates and Other Items Offered by Various Sponsors.
